Data Engineer

Prepare the documents, records and pipelines that enterprise AI depends on, so retrieval, extraction and review rest on information the organisation can trust.

The work.

Useful AI starts with information that can be found, joined and checked. Oasis Gate’s work often involves documents, operational records and connected business systems. This collaboration is for data engineers who can make that material available to an application without losing lineage, permissions or quality.

What you would contribute.

  • Design pipelines that move documents and structured records into retrieval, extraction and review workflows.
  • Prepare chunking, metadata and source references so generated content can be traced.
  • Handle scanned, multilingual and mixed-quality material with realistic quality checks.
  • Keep access controls aligned with the source systems and the people who may use the result.
  • Work with application and integration colleagues so data contracts stay stable as the service evolves.

What we look for.

  • Experience building data pipelines and information stores used by production applications.
  • Familiarity with document processing, retrieval sources or operational data quality.
  • Care for lineage, permissions and what happens when source material is incomplete.
  • Ability to explain data assumptions so reviewers can see what the system can and cannot rely on.
